Dad got this for my grandson who lives in another state. He says he's a huge fan of the book and the series. This seems to be a good book for a young person to read, and I'm happy he is into reading, Mary.

Great book series!!!

Our son started reading the book series and we couldn't stop him. We have purchased the entire collection over time, Weinshall said. He started reading it when he was 7 and had a little bit higher reading level than his grade level at the time.

The whole series is great

We have a 4-year-old who started reading early, and he is in love with the Dragon Master Series. Depending on the child, I'm guessing this series is good for 4-8 year olds. Start with Book 1 and work your way up. We have all 846 books.

binding came apart - unglued
Derived From Web , Aug 20, 2020
We love these books and have been reading them in order. We have every one of them. Bought this book in January and started reading it this August. My 10 year old grandson is very careful with these books but by chapter 5 the glue came loose from the bindings. We are now at chapter 6, and will continue reading. I put a binder clip on the book to keep the pages in order. I keep the books at my house until he finishes them, then he takes them home. He said he never had a problem with the prior 10 books. He plans to keep them, sell them and keep them. Disappointed.

Engages Reluctant Readers
Derived From Web , Mar 24, 2020
My grandson is an excellent reader, but until he got to this series he was not an interest in fiction. In school, he was reading well above the book level. I got the first few books and he became enthralled. After about 4 books, he'd ask to go to bed and read. Now he'll read one all the way through. He started at #11 today. I know it's below his reading ability but he's becoming a book reader. We'll finish the series soon. What did your kids read following this? What held them back? Percy Jones and the rest of the gang are off the case.

6.5-year-old daughter loves these books
Derived From Web , Aug 31, 2019
My daughter isn't a huge reader, but she has taken to certain series such as Magic Tree House - Merlin Missions and now these, the Dragon Master series. She couldn't put them down. I give this book and the others five stars, too. The only complaint I have is that there are only 14 of them left.

My daughter has read the entire series since the first book. She liked that the dragon had the power to shine when danger was near. It's quite a power!
