   Not my fave
Not my favorite Patricelli book, bought my daughter likes it, because that is what counts. I thought she could have done a better job at finding quiet things and loud things that are easy to recognize for young ones. Pretty sure '' my daughter does not know what thinking means yet and is difficult to demonstrate. Regardless, I get really LOUD on the noisy pages and quiet on the quiet pages, which she loves. She gets the idea about the difference between loud and quiet, though.

Perfect for the toddler, but I don 't like the smudge appearance that seems to be part of the cute illustrations. Appears to be deliberate, but muds are distracting.

   Good book if you don't mind screaming
On the plus side, my 20 month old son loves this book. On the minus side, he has not learned the intended lesson of the difference between quiet and loud. In fact, merely thinking about this book engenders screaming like the baby on the cover...

She gets very quiet and still stares at the pictures of the little baby on each page and likes to touch the page and try to turn the page.

   I love all Leslie Patricelli books
I have been collecting all my books for my toddler since she was a few months old. This book is very needed now that my daughter is almost 3 yrs old and can be very noisy at the wrong times. It is very fun and easy to read, and sometimes she picks it up and reads it herself. It has made the process of teaching her to whisper much easier. Lol! ! I recommend this book for all children.

   An instant favorite
This was an instant favorite for us all. That is a lot to say considering a 14mo old's interests'a parent who reads several times a day, some times the same book 10 times or more! One thing I love is that there are so many pages! It's a bummer when you finally get your wiggle worm to focus a little attention, then the last page arrives in a matter of minutes. The'spell'is broken and the constant motion whiningclinging etc starts right back up. The colors are bold, nothing is too busy, the illustrations are great for early wordobject lessons and the concept of poud '' giggling '' is a lot of fun to play. I'll get more from this series, it is definitely a great gift to give!

   Fun and good-looking!
This is the first Patricelli book I purchased and I have really enjoyed it so far. It was a baby girl's first birthday gift. Sadly, I seem to enjoy it more than the baby. Perhaps in a few months she will appreciate my sensory effects and enthusiasm for this book, but at the moment she is more open with sound books and tabs. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and would consider more by the author.

When my daughter was little, I would read it to her. I even read it for her pre- Kindergarten class and the kids lived it. Definitely a great find.
