   Deceptive!
There were no pictures inside the book to show the art and script. We bought a book for our soon to arrive granddaughter based on the cover art and promise of life lessons from a doggie, but instead we get 70’s lo-fi cartoons and a story about a rooster. It's seriously. The cover and interior of the book do not share anything. It was disappointing.

Important time-honored values - good book!
I wanted to read this book to my grandson. It will be a pleasure to read it to him. The author shared her faith in God and respect for those in authority. To not like a book because someone touches on them is childish. I want to teach my children the same values. This isn't being religious or a religious book. It is a book about love, kindness, respect, and allowing beauty and character of a family pet to teach us life lessons. I will recommend this book to other grandmothers and hope to see more of the author's work. Thank you!

I wanted to like this book.
I bought it to read to my grandson, but if I did, I would have to use a Sharpie. The directives are too much for a grandma teacher who believes in teaching critical thinking skills at an early age. I'm sending it back because I wanted to read this book.

At the TOP of our Reading List !
A book about loving and caring for animals. In her book, the Author acknowledges God. A rare occurrence in most children's books. My nine-month-old granddaughter perks up when I read this book to her. I like to watch her smile at the illustrations. Lessons, friendship, loyalty, and more. What is not to love? Can't wait for her next book, Chalaine Kilduff! It was!

Unexpected Religious Messaging--A Book for Sunday School not the Classroom
I wanted to read that book. The illustrations are wonderful. The book is based on simplistic religious messaging. Don't forget that God's watching you. The book is good but I can't use it in the classroom or places I wanted to. The description of the book does not state that it is a Sunday School book. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against God, but I didn't buy the book to read at a Sunday School. It was very disappointing.

You get a giant advertisement on the last pages....
The sweet mood of the story was interrupted by a giant advertisement for their website. Don't ruin the story by not including a flyer in the package.

   Adorable!
My son loves animals. There is a lovely and wholesome life lesson on every page of the book. The rhyme was thought out. We enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to see what the author comes up with next!
