young black girl loves it
Derived From Web , Aug 13, 2020
The girl loved the book. She gives it a rating of 4 stars. I feel like adult reviews compliment the skin color other than comparing it to food. I was looking for something different. It is good for kids to see that their skin color is accepted.

Spelling and Grammatical Errors, Forced Rhymes
Derived From Web , Jun 21, 2020
I ended up returning the book because of the spelling and language issues. The caramel should be not carmel. Grandpa should be capitalized. I don't know about you, but I like variety and that's why the comma is in the wrong place. Wouldn't it be a shame if everyone was the same? There are mistakes in Oh How I Love My Brown Skin!. The forced rhymes made it hard to read out loud. The story is cute and the illustrations are adorable, but young readers deserve better than this.

Cute but cheap.
Derived From Web , Jun 1, 2018
The title and front cover of the book made me very excited. The illustrations are nice, but the book is cheap. I could have printed it. I would save $10 if someone took a picture of me, but I wish the quality was better.
