Do you really need a ten-step skincare regimen? Is that $100 eye cream worth it? And what the heck are actives anyway? In this book two professional chemists and beauty industry insiders tell all.
Depending on who you listen to, the secret to beautiful skin is microbiomes. Or Korean rice water. Or maybe a dermaplaning tool. It feels like you need a degree in chemistry to even understand what these products are, and if they live up to the hype. Luckily, Victoria Fu and Gloria Lu, professional skincare chemists have done that work so you don't have to. The science may seem complicated, but this book will show you how simple it can be, giving you what you need to make informed decisions about your skin (and your wallet). Skincare Actives? Technically, cat sneezes could count. SPF? Yep, super important. Caffeine serums? The science is still out. CBD additives? Not enough studies yet, so the jury's still out. The authors are the creators behind the popular Chemist Confessions Instagram, and this book brings the sass, humor, and solid information they're known for. Additional chapters address the best ingredients for every skin type, and reveal the only four products you really need.It takes about 4 Hours and 38 minutes on average for a reader to read Skincare Decoded: The Practical Guide To Beautiful Skin. This is based on the average reading speed of 250 Words per minute.
Skincare Decoded: The Practical Guide To Beautiful Skin is 240 pages long.
Perfect

Television images could not be loaded. I'm a licensed esthetician and this book is amazing to read and remember things. It's hard to focus on just skincare when there are so many other subjects to learn, she said. I will definitely recommend this book to friends and family.

If You Only Ever Buy One Skincare Book, Buy This One
Derived From Web , Dec 28, 2021
This book is a must-have for anyone who is interested in skincare. There are endless lines of people waiting to get their hands on endless serums, primers, thousands of sunscreens, etc. It's almost too overwhelming to count, the report says. The world of skincare is a hot mess, they wrote. If you are like me and want stuff that works vs miracle claims and empty promises that come in pretty packaging, then this what you need is here. For years, I wanted a streamlined skincare line that worked or at least made my skin appear better than it is currently and didn't know where to start. Thanks to this book, I now do. What I don't need and what doesn't work for me? Even drugstore lines carry products that cost $20 or more. Think of this book as an investment, saving you time and money, Thibault said.

This is so brilliant and SO much information yet easy to understand!

I absolutely love the book. For years, I have been a huge fan of Ellen Marmur's Simple Skin Beauty. I've bought others, but they were all forgettable. This is so brilliant, so much information yet so easy to understand! It almost didn't happen because I was worried I would waste more money on yet another bland skincare book.

Great read for skincare professionals, and consumers!
Derived From Web , Apr 23, 2021
Anyone who has ever wondered how to properly apply make-up should definitely check out this book. I plan to use this as a tool for helping my clients understand what's in their products, and the importance of their ingredients, she said. But for people who shop for skincare, it can be overwhelming. People don't understand the label, or there are conflicting information out there regarding an ingredient, or product, so this book will act as my partner in debunking false claims, and truly understanding what's in our products and why they are needed! Thanks for all the hard work, I'm going to have to come back again and again! Can't wait to let my Esthetician friends know about this book!

A gem.

I have followed the authors for a few years and found them to be very witty. Jackie Johnson, host of the Natch Beaut podcast, first heard the tape. The boys are so knowledgeable and funny. Their own podcast is a pleasure to listen to and their Insta takes deep dives into ingredient and product claims. I feel like it was made sense to me to do it. Yes, you could probably find most of the information on the internet, but it is wonderful having it all in a book. They did a great job, said Dr. Goin. Their skincare line is also wonderful. The academy's women's basketball coach, Sandy Lieberman, said: "We're thrilled to be up 3-2."

Such an amazing book
Derived From Web , Apr 8, 2021
This book is truly exceptional. I'm a Licensed Esthetician in Atl, and what I "so-called" learned in school just wasn't enough for me, so I'm always on the hunt for more knowledge. I've never read a book this fast, and I plan to read it again. The layout is perfect, the two authors have a great sense of humor, you can tell they know their ish and the information was super useful being that I'm constantly giving out skincare advice. I'm so glad they laid to rest all of these garbage companies that try to push on us as the next best thing, Mr. Dhaliwal said. If you enjoyed the first book, you won't be disappointed with this one. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

Buy it!

Not only does it go into the basics, it gives you cheat sheets and even has a FAQ for skin care products! It shows you why specific products go into specific containers and what ingredients to look for and what skin types would benefit from it. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

How books should be written.
Derived From Web , Mar 24, 2021
I am almost halfway done with it, Hachette said. The way they write the book makes it easy to understand especially with all the skincare terms. This product is a must-have if you are looking to up your skincare routine.
