Book Overview

Slim Aarons: Women explores the central subject of Slim Aarons's career--the extraordinary women from the upper echelons of high society, the arts, fashion, and Hollywood. The book presents the women who most influenced Aarons's life and work--and the other remarkable personalities he photographed along the way, including Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, Diana Vreeland, and Marilyn Monroe, all featured in unforgettable photographs. The collection contains more than 200 images, the majority of which have not appeared in previous books, along with detailed captions written by one of Aarons's closest colleagues. Showcasing beautiful women at their most glamorous in some of the most dazzling locations across the globe, Slim Aarons: Women is a fresh look at the acclaimed photographer through the muses who inspired his most incredible photographs.

Also available from Slim Aarons: Poolside with Slim Aarons, Slim Aarons: Once Upon a Time, Slim Aarons: A Place in the Sun, and Slim Aarons: La Dolce Vita.

Great Book if you like Slim Aarons
Slim Aarons received 5 stars for the book and Booker. 2 stars off as the 1st book ordered and returned from Amazon came damaged and the replacement was not much of a better shape. If you plan to buy something as a gift or a table book, don 't order it online.

   Such a lovely book....
After watching a documentary on Slim Aarons recently, I couldn t order this book fast enough. It didn 't disappoint with beautiful pictures of gorgeous women in gorgeous settings. Especially in light of the state that the world is currently in, it is a delight to have such a wonderful remembrance of days gone by and of course a glimpse into the lives of these glamorous beings.

A much needed escape to another time ...
I have several books on Slim Aarons photography, so that this is an addition to my collection. While one might expect this to be an entirely VISUAL experience, I found the STORY as written by his long-time assistant, the author of this book, to be equally engaging, ENRICHING the experience and transporting one to a world long ago and far away... highly recommended.

Beautiful women and Aarons's connection to each subject
Wonderful! The Slim Aarons Estate still seems to have published material -- along with some previously fresh -- to delight us. This is classic Aarons Fare and his eye continues to delight after all these years. Beautiful women in very enjoyable surroundings with very helpfully described descriptions of who they are or were and what their relationship was with Aarons.
