Good but not what I hoped
Derived From Web , Jun 1, 2022
Pictures are cute, but I am expecting photos of faces expressing different emotions, like happy or sad or mad. The emotions in these pictures are ambiguous and difficult to explain to a 1 year old.

Good photo book
Derived From Web , Jun 1, 2022
Book Cute : The pages are thinner than other board books we have, but that doesn 't seem to be a problem. Each page has a photo of a baby on it and the story is basically a group of things you could say while trying to get a child to smile for a camera. There are just a few words per page, so that you can set your baby's interest in the photos the pace for reading.

Book review

I bought this book for my granddaughter. She loves the books of the baby faces. She turned 1 year old just like that. Her favorite toys are books.

Smiles & joy

I have this for my dad in end stage cancer and share it with my 2 year old grandbabies. My dad enjoys seeing all the cute smiling children's faces. It lights his day when he looks through it!

Cute pictures, shame focused story
Derived From Web , Jul 16, 2020
The over simple story is about getting a baby to smile, a baby looks like pouting and the narrative has a shame focus and is dismissive of the emotion portrayed. I don 't read the book as written, but talk about the emotions of each baby.

My baby loves this book.
Derived From Web , Feb 16, 2020
We had a few of them 10 years ago with my oldest son and I was thrilled to see that they are still in print when my youngest was born. When he is fussy, this book always catches his attention and helps me to calm him down, and when it is story time, he is very engaged with this book, especially compared to other board books that we own.

Adorable
Derived From Web , Jan 7, 2020
My twelve-month-old niece loved this book. Most babies are fascinated by faces, especially the faces of other babies. The photos are clear, sharp, and quite beautiful. An excellent book for early years.

Not many babies of color
Derived From Web , Jul 27, 2019
Black and brown book, but I got the impression that this book would have more beautiful babies based on the cover. As a black mother, I am interested in books that I buy to be a reflection of who my daughter is, rather than the so-called norm in society. Concept is nice, but it is a no for my child. So far she returned, but was not replaced by Alex Jones.
