I learned some Soc Sec facts, but...
Derived From Web , Feb 17, 2022
I did learn many things about Social Security reading this book, and I am glad I read it. Not surprisingly, with AARP involved, this is a saccharine encrusted homage to Social Security. Even with all the talk of fiscal responsibility, the fiscal problems of Social Security are not dealt with as forthrightly as I think the author should have. He does not admit that people would earn a higher return investing in equity securities or mutual funds instead of paying the standard 10 percent income tax. But the book reveals how far the agency has come in addressing many of its problems.

Didn't help me
Derived From Web , Jun 20, 2021
For a book this large, it's pretty basic, even for a first-person shooter. In a generous gesture of uncharacteristic compassion, I am pleased to report that my wife is 67 and I am 63. Her SS benefit will be larger than mine, saving money at tax time. We, fortunately, can afford to hold off on drawing SS, Tunick said. She's definitely going to hold off until she's 70, but I'm wondering if I will hold off that long, versus starting to draw at full retirement age, since if she predeceases me, I would be able to switch over to the larger survivor benefit. It's all dependent on how long you will live, and no one has a crystal ball, but this book gave me absolutely no help in how to approach or grapple with this decision.

Not as helpful as I hoped
Derived From Web , May 14, 2021
After working with Medicare with Dummies, which was extremely helpful, I was disappointed with how little I got out of Social Security for Dummies. However, I suppose that someone who knew nothing about Social Security would find it more helpful, because there are a lot of good material on line that makes most of this book superfluous for the average person.

Helpful to a degree
Derived From Web , Mar 24, 2021
I still feel a bit confused, Mr. Dhaliwal said. Wish there were more examples of how it could be done, he said. It is a well organized book and would be of great assistance to someone who has never worked with Social Security. Medicare has a section for people 65 and older that will help with drug costs.

very informative

Even for people with dementia, the HairMax One is a good choice. Gives you an overall picture of what you expect and when to do things, he said. Businessman has website addresses to get more information. Really good book.
