   Very practical and helpful!
This is a very useful book for children. The topicslessons can be done in about 5 minutes. I think it's a good idea to have adult help to make sure kids are getting the point. There are a lot of activities that help reinforce the lessons. The lessons are ordered logically. The book was really good. My 9 year old was able to apply a lot of what he learned while working through this.

   Wish I returned this
The child who is crying on the sidelines and being left out is befriended by the book. The path to social success is not befriending children who are excluded. Many children are excluded because they are not the best choices for friends. All kids being left out aren't victims of others and if you think your child's social success will be boosted by becoming the playground's Mother Theresa is off the mark.

For middle schoolers and up to learn social skills
It was hard to tell from the description and few pages that were shown on the product page, but this book is for older kids. The book could be used in a group setting like an after school program or a social skills class. I bought it for my 5 year old because he wouldn't be able to read it, but I plan to use some of the book's activities for him and his sister. I can tell that a lot of the activities will be done when they are older.

Great book with easy to understand activities.
There are exercises in the book that teach appropriate social skills to children. It has tips on how to make friends, talk to other people, and decode body language. The activities help the child understand how one action might be better than another. This is a great book for introducing social skills to children who might not have them. I like this book. If you find my review helpful, please mark it. Thank you very much!

Relatable Fun Activities To Do Together
I bought this book for our eight-year-old who needs some practice with social skills and it surprised me how much she enjoyed it. We do a few activities each night and it has been a good way to talk about soft skills in a playful game setting rather than lecturing her. My preschool age children like to play with us for some of the games and the activities are fun to do together. The author speaks at a child's level. I am very pleased with the book. This book is great for an elementary age child.

I'm developing curriculum based on this fantastic book!
The book is thorough, applicable and creative. I teach a summer friendship skills class to a group of children, including my own. The book is a great source of information. I can't wait to try out the many fun activities and help the kids grow in their relationships.

Created a Connection and Giving me Insight on my Child.
Last week we got a copy of a book. I was able to get 2 lessons done on the first night. We made a game out of the second lesson because he really liked it. He has been getting himself ready for bed every evening since we started. He is blindfolded and trying to get around the house in an exercise that is a reward. He loves it so much. It has created a sense of connection for us, a way for me to get more insight as to what is going on in my child's mind. If you're looking for a way to make connection, this is the one for you. I've been spending 15 minutes a day on our lessons right before bed. It has made him feel better to spend more time with him.

Great resource for teaching kids social skills!
The book is fun for both parents and children to read. Listening to others is one of the topics discussed in the chapter. She gives children activities to do with others and examples of situations where the child has to choose what to do. When social skills need to be worked on, she offers practical solutions and does a good job of addressing problems. She summarizes the code at the end of the chapter. I like this because it reminds the reader of what happened in the chapter and it also gives the person a sense of accomplishment. The book is fun.
