Alison McGhee and Peter H. Reynolds's #1 New York Times bestselling and beloved story of a mother's love and dreams for her child is now available in a beautiful keepsake edition.

One day I counted your fingers and kissed each one.
Sometimes, when you sleep, I watch you dream, and I dream too--
That someday you will dive into the cool clear water of a lake.
Someday I will watch you brushing your child's hair.
Someday.

A deceptively simple, powerful ode to the potential of love and the potential in life, Someday is the story of what every mother wishes for her child: a chance to live life at its fullest--to experience great joys, to stretch, to grow, to understand sorrow, to have a future.to have a someday. This shimmering, achingly beautiful, and poignant tale--created by two great talents--takes this idea and turns it into something that will touch every reader. Someday, now available in a gorgeous keepsake edition, is a story you'll want to share with a special someone today and every day.

   Great book, but...
I purchased the book for my wife and my daughter to celebrate the beginning of kindergarten. But when I opened it, I had no idea that the book would be so full of dust! My eyes were uncontrollably watered. I warn future fathers to read in a privacy until the dust settles.

Wonderfully Written. A beautiful book that all Moms should read.
Get ready for kleenex moms.. This little book will LOVE you. The cycle of life is preciously presented. I gave this book as a present to a friend who was expecting her first great grandson. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was not the only one who was touched by the author's words and illustrations. A must read for all the moms and the great-grandmothers.

a book people of all ages will enjoy (your heart will swell up)
After hearing from the author on NPR, I went straight to Amazon and placed my order. After receiving my copy, I went back to Amazon and ordered one for each mother I new and sent them to Mother's Day. The images and universal truths that Alison evoke in every mother or daughter who reads them memories and hopes and dreams.

   Perfect and lovely and sweet.
It is beautiful. I wish I 'd write something similar when my daughter asked me to write her advice on raising a daughter when she was expecting her first child.

   SATISFIED
She often wants to read it to herself. The book was made for the little hand well to hold and carry.

   Great for mothers
I bought this when my daughter was 3 or 4 and made me cry every time I read it to her and is now 15. It is a charming reminder of motherhood's beauty and the circle of life.

   Baby’s least favorite book
The great reviews have really surprised me. The images did not interest my baby and bc the content did not rhyme or have a rhythm attached to it, she lost interest very quickly.

   Beautiful book
The day she received it, she lost the baby... we never read it. Just put it away with Myah's special things for now.

The best mommy daughter book out there
If you are expecting a girl, but this book is now and read it every day to your belly. When my daughter was born, she was cooled by being read. She is 11 and sometimes we read it to ourselves. I know that she will read it to her daughter someday.

   LOVE this book
This book strikes you right in the feels every time. I was in the middle of Target when I was pregnant and reading my eyes bawled out. I have purchased this book several times for friends and family members who have new baby girls.
