Book Overview

WHAT IF YOU COULD CHOSE THE PLANET OF YOUR BIRTH? Born aboard a deep space cruiser on a dangerous research mission, you are asked to choose your home planet. Your parents are from different planets in different galaxies. Their planets are alike enough so that you will not be a freak on either one. But they are different enough so that YOUR choice will have a huge effect on your life. The planet Kenda is visible on the galaxy scanner. Now that you have chosen, your parents announce that Kenda is your father's home. The crew of the spaceship carefully prepares a spacepod for the journey to Kenda. Seating yourself at the controls and positioning the programmed flight path, you disengage from the mother ship and drift off into space. Something is wrong You look at the scanner and see a nebula that is not supposed to be on your course. Suddenly the gases and particles of the nebula surround you. If you try to return to the mother ship, turn to page 4. YOU choose what happens next

We love reading these books together
We love reading these books together, my 9 year old girl, 6 year old boy, and I. At times, a dramatic turn of events keeps us on our toes and laughing if we make a devastating choice, lol.

Choose Your Own Adventure Book #3 - Space & Beyond
I recommend them and in the future I will purchase more books from them. As a kid I loved reading these books, now my children love them. However, this book in particular, Space and Beyond, is not one of the best in the series. These books are awesome because they teach children the valuable lesson of making wise choices by demonstrating choices and consequences.

   Love this series.
It is fun to read all the different scenarios. I think we tried all the options and died in most of them!

   Book arrived damaged
The book arrived damaged, the cover was wrinkled and the spine was torn near the spine. Needed it for someone so didn 't have time to return and get a new copy.

   Just okay
My 7 YO advanced reader asked me to choose your adventure books, so I selected this book and 2 others. From the description, I thought that Space and Beyond '' would be scary enough to keep her interest, but not too intriguing. However, my gripe at times seems a little disjointed, like it was translated from another language or written just quickly. A few times I had to check the go to '' page number again because the path ended abruptly like I had turned to the wrong page. Yeah, the book was written in 1980 and later reprinted with what looks like artwork from the high school.

   So many adventures
I loved these books as a kid, so I purchased one for my son and is absolutely in love with this book! He has read it so many times and asked me to buy more.

Some Books are Better as Memories
If you loved them as a kid, leave them as an adult. Wait until you have children of your own, then read them to your children and then enjoy them again through the eyes of a kid. Don 't buy them as a cynical, middle-aged adult and read them to yourself. You inevitably realize how terribly written they are, point out all the numerous plot flaws and question your childhood and in fact your very existence.
