   Great summer review book
I enjoy spectrum for math. This book is very good. My daughter just finished 1st grade and I bought this for her. She works on one page per day during the summer. She has learned a lot this school year and I want her to keep it. I like the way the sections are separated. There are tests for each chapter. There are clearly written and explained teaching instructions in all the lessons after the test. There is an answer sheet for parents as well as a scoring guideline. The book is perfect for my daughters needs. It was in perfect condition when it shipped. I am very pleased.

   I like it
My son does not like working on books, but I think the content is good. It provides a good number of problems so that he gets plenty of practice through repetition, but at the same it mixes it up with different types of problems at appropriate intervals so that it doesn't become too repetitive.

   Great!
We haven't started yet but I like how the book is set up. Each skill is separated by chapters in the word problems. We're using Math U See and I need something to solidify math facts and teach other skills.

   Must have for summer
The media couldn't load. I bought this one a month ago for my 6 year old son to be ready for school. I wanted him to have more understanding in math when he starts 1st grade. We did 3-4 pages per day to complete half of the book. He finished first grade last fall. I want to challenge him more by buying these books. He gets confident by doing the right things. The book is easy to keep up for the kids and there are no pictures to distract them. I wish the book had more word problem solving. I will buy the next grade after we finish it.

   Buy up one grade.
There are 3 spectrum books we have so far. My son is entering first grade and I think this second grade book is right on grade level for him, it seems to pick up where kindergarten left off. I recommend buying the grade ahead for kids who are above grade level.

1st Grade Topics for 2nd Grade Book
My son already learned about the topics in the 2nd grade math book. There is nothing new in 2nd grade. I was disappointed.

   Great Book
Some parts of it are too easy for a second grade student. Some parts are useful. The book is colorful and good for a child. It was a great one for money.

These books are very good. Right on target with the national standards. They are part of our home school program.

   Great purchase!
My kids attend a summer camp that uses the Spectrum Reading and Math workbooks. Over the summer break, it keeps them sharp. Great purchase.

Great book with lots of math problems
I bought this book for my daughter to read. I wanted her to remember what she did in 2nd grade so she doesn't forget, and I think it helped her when she went to 3rd grade. This is a great place for kids to study during their break.
