   Never Disappointed!
Every summer, we use these workbooks to prepare our kids for their next grade. They've been reliable every year. We will purchase more.

   Love these workbooks
I am a teacher and love teaching sixth graders. I own math, reading and writing. I bought the 4th and 5th grade books to help fill in the gaps from online school. I recommend these books to staff members and they are using them. Each page of the pre and post test has a couple examples with instructions and lots of practice.

   Really great formatting!
I got these for my nieces to catch up on their math. The math books are very good. I let them skip the chapter if they ace the Pretests, because they need to review what they know. If not, I will have them take the Post-test at the end of the chapter. I let them skip the mid-test if they know most of the stuff. They review certain lessons if they don't know what they're talking about. My nieces are liking the books. They are formatted nicely and are decent at teaching. I mark the rows of questions I want them to answer so they know what to do next. I matched 30 min. today. There are 30 minutes of online reading of the math books. It breaks up monotony. I will be using them a lot.

   Answer key isn't correct
I'm not a math wizard but the last time I checked, 455 was 9, not 7. There seems to be conflicting information about this. There are a lot of mistakes in the answer key which can make it hard to figure out what is in the book. Lots of time was wasted on problems that were not correct. They ask on page 64 twice. The correct answer is listed for the first problem, but not the second. Imagine how confusing it would be for a child to see this for the first time. I feel like I'm going crazy and this book is gaslighting me, so you're going to see a lot of that. If it weren't for the incorrect answer key, I would think these were computer-generated.

   Too easy
My daughter will be going into 3rd grade after this summer when she graduates from the GT program. I wanted to challenge her by getting her the 4th grade book. She learned it in the first and second grades. She didn't know how to add and subtract fractions in the book. If your child is advanced, I would push them up 2 grades to challenge them and learn new skills. I will be buying the 5th grade version of the book to see if it will be better for her, as the book is organized well.

Great review before entering the 5th grade!
My ten year old has really benefited from this workbook. I chose this one because I wanted him to have a solid foundation before he enters the 5th grade. It gives a review in case mom forgets to do the problems. It gives a mix of problems and word problems.

Dry, lots of practice, offers good range of problems
This is a great place to start. It is boring for a student. I use it in my home study. Practice and mastery can only be achieved with complete selected pages. I like the variety of problems and word problems that are offered.

   Perfect
My child hated me for making him do math during the summer but was behind in math. Each section in the book has easy, clear and detailed examples. Enough pages of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions that he knows how to do properly. Extra practice is recommended for those who need it before the school year starts. It would be great for people who already know it.
