Book Overview

This Description may be from another edition of this product.

Ben Ripley enrolls in ski school, where the slopes, and the stakes, get really steep in this bestselling follow-up to the Edgar Award-nominated Spy School, Spy Camp, and Evil Spy School.

Thirteen-year-old Ben Ripley is not exactly the best student spy school has ever seen--he keeps flunking Advanced Self Preservation. But outside of class, Ben is pretty great at staying alive. His enemies have kidnapped him, shot at him, locked him in a room with a ticking time bomb, and even tried to blow him up with missiles. And he's survived every time.

After all that unexpected success, the CIA has decided to activate Ben for real.

The Mission: Become friends with Jessica Shang, the daughter of a suspected Chinese crime boss, and find out all of her father's secrets. Jessica wants to go to ski school in the Rocky Mountains, so a select few spy school students are going skiing too--under cover, of course.

Ben might not be able to handle a weapon (or a pair of skis), but he can make friends easy peasy. That is, until his best friend from home drops in on the trip and jeopardizes the entire mission.

Favorite series for 8-10 year old boys
My 10 year old was drawn into the spy school series a couple of years ago So when he somehow learned that spy school was coming out, he because obsessed with getting a copy as soon as possible. There was a countdown in my household to see if it was possible to get hold of the DVD. Second, I was blown away by the book. Although i've only read it once, my son has read it three times.

   Spy ski school
Spy Ski School was another amazing book by Stuart Gibbs, I liked the book because of all the excitement. There are kissing, defusing bombs and a whole lot more. It would give away the story. I recommend this book to middle school students. Please take a few minutes to read the rest of the story.

... of the series to see if my son would like them, and I thought he would
I read the first book to see if my son would like them, and I thought he would. He did, and I pre-ordered this one. He's a huge fan of the series, and is very excited to read them. He is 11, and attends school in the Washington suburbs. A great deal of material. They are slightly on the long side, so if you have a slower reader at home, I'd still suggest introducing it to your kid, because it is one of those books that is worth it, even if they might not be ready to finish it.

Nephew will play Dr. Pepper's assistant. He is not a regular reader, so happy to give him something he is interested in, she said.

   Great Read!
My 13 year old son absolutely loves the series of books. He also stars in the CBS film "Stuart Gibbs: The Extra-Terrestrial Adventures of Captain Jack." I would highly recommend all these books to kids who like to read mystery stories.

   Another Great Spy School Book
It's great to be back with my niece. We had a blast, said Blair. The other three books in the series are also excellent reads. We are eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, which is scheduled for a September release. Lots of action and social interaction, too. Young readers are often surprised by how easily they can read this book. Suitable for younger readers.
