Outstanding guide!!
Derived From Web , Feb 12, 2022
I rarely write reviews, but this book really has praise. I wish that more authors would follow Zhao's lead in getting to the point from the very beginning. This book is an example of how to work hard to make something short. It takes real effort to discuss what is to decide and in what order. I bought this book as a real beginner with SQLite. There is no filler material available. Everything is important on the site and is point to the point. Using this guide, I went from knowing nothing to writing a data base in a very short period of time, without having to wade through extraneous material. Moreover, I learned how to pair Python and R effectively. If you are beginning or perhaps needing a refresher, this book is absolutely worth purchasing. Its author owes many thanks!

Highly Recommend This book

I received this book a few weeks ago to brush up on my SQL as I prepare for job interviews. As a pocket book, the author expected that the author would rush as much content as possible, leaving out the meaty details. It is one of those books that you easily absorb the content because it reminds you of the concepts through the book. I particularly like that the author has covered the different syntax difference between the important RDMS software. The book covers query basics, CRUD, operators and functions, data types, advanced queries such as window functions, pivoting and unpivoting and JOINS. You will receive illustrated examples and codes to show you the syntax. This works best for me as a reference, as I work on queries. If I could summarise the book in a few words, I would call it the hardcopy Stackoverflow of SQL, grab your copy!

Great book for learning the different SQL syntaxes of SQLServer, Oracle, PostgreSQL
Derived From Web , Nov 5, 2021
I really like that the book covers all the database systems based on SQL that are currently on the market. It is very useful to have this reference when you are sitting in front of a new database where syntax is a little different. The book is very easy to read and is simple to use as a reference manual. Can really be reprinted if it is very good.

Incredible summary of technology
Derived From Web , Oct 14, 2021
I negotiate technology contracts for work and draft them. In many years of doing this, I had never received such a simple summary of SQL servers as on the very first page of this book! The author walks through illustrations and examples, making it feel very technical and approachable in a way I wouldn 't have expected from a conversational book. This book would be appropriate for a total beginner, but would also be useful for someone who already understands the big picture, but wants more detail, as I did. Compact, but packs a big punch. Highly recommended.

Great Reference For Data-Driven Marketers
Derived From Web , Oct 12, 2021
Marketer serves as an intermediary. This guide has been extremely helpful as a reference for creating my own advanced queries and even more beneficial in validating and asking questions about basic queries developed by our data science and analytics teams. A great resource indeed.
