Story of Squanto Friend of The Pilgrims.
The children loved the story of Squanto and the Pilgrims, but the facts didn't match up, so I wanted this to be the same story. I didn't like this book and liked the other. Cannot remember the author's name.

   Enjoyable, and well written.
Both of my children like this title. My daughter really enjoyed it. Children are able to retell the small details of the story that was written in an engaging fashion. As part of the Mother of Divine Grace curriculum, it was purchased.

   Squanto
The book is easy to read by a second graders. Is it fact? In the book, Squanto is talking about something. A young child will get a picture of Squanto's life.

I gave this book to my students as a historical novel study. They were able to learn about the early interactions between Native Americans and Europeans.

Favorite Thanksgiving book as a child
As a child, I loved this book. It is written for children and addresses the hardship of being captured and the loss of his village to disease. If your children read with you, it will be interesting.
