Lovely book

The book is very pretty and the drawing inside my son loves it too. It's a book "Santa" got him. He really enjoys reading it and the images, he said. It's a great big kid book, but may be difficult due to some of the words and names for a reader that has difficulty with words or just beginning.

Diverse -- star stories from everywhere
Derived From Web , Jul 19, 2021
It has the classic star stories from Greece and Rome, the stories in all the Western movies. And, it also has stories from everywhere else. As an astronomer I am grateful to see stories from all over the world. Every culture, every ancient city and country told star stories. Great, interesting stories we want to hear, too. This writer is not a lyrical story teller. Her stories lack rhythm and feel. I have books with far fewer stories, much less basic books, with better told stories. I've fallen in love with the book, "Wishing on a Star." These stories are also diverse, mostly but not all from ancient Greece, and they are more beautiful and lyrical.

Great book BUT arrived damaged.
Derived From Web , Apr 10, 2021
I really need to stop buying books from Amazon. com. The book itself is great. The cover, the writing, the illustrations are all beautiful-just what I was looking for, Morgenthau said. Along with the others, this book was also damaged. We are a homeschooling family and read a lot. We also purchase many books as curriculum, for read aloud. We order from different publishers and as well as many books from Amazon, we can arrive carefully packaged with extra craft paper to ensure no damage, it's always a gamble from Amazon. Five stars for the book, just wish I could rate the condition it came in separately.

Absolutely amazing
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2021
It was for my daughter's 7th birthday. She absolutely loves it, she said. We read through one of the stories every night and she loves learning about the heros and all the epic adventures. The book is stunning and the artist's work is also good quality. Very happy with this. I only said moderate as diffulty on reading due to the names but thats not on the author at all. They did amazing taking stories that have details that aren't always kid friendly and making them appropriate for the age group. Great work, said Pauley.

Mythology
Derived From Web , Nov 26, 2020
I love the book, the pictures are beautiful. I am not good with Greek Mythology names and how to pronounce them. I feel like it makes some stories somewhat hard to read, Habo said.

Great book
Derived From Web , Oct 12, 2020
This is a beautiful book. The pages are thick and glossy, making them stand out. The stories are interesting, fun, and engaging, Morgenthau said. The book itself is also full of lovely artwork. Anyone who homeschools and plans to do unit studies on astronomy will find this book invaluable. It's a great bridge for science, history and the arts. This would also make a great present for any astronomy lover.
