Plagueis & Palpatine: 1,000 meetings and inner monologues
The title of the book is Plagueis and Palpatine 1,000 meetings and inner monologues. I was looking forward to this novel but was disappointed. There are a lot of interesting tidbits throughout but it's basically a meeting of Plagueis and Palpatine discussing politics or subterfuge again and again which gets pretty boring at times. I would have liked this more if I had read it before the trilogy. It is difficult for a reader to go from frequent action and exploration in Bane to a bunch of meetings and quasi science experiments in Plagueis.

Best SW book! I WILL fight you on that!
I think James Luceno wrote the best Star Wars book ever. Daniel Davis received three cheers for his reading of the audio- drama. This sounds like Darth Plagueis! This is his voice! This is Darth Plagueis speaking. It is a take on The Omen. The tone is very cerebral and lightsaber- swinging, but that's fine. We get a dark side of politics that reminds me of House of Cards and Game of Throne. That's not to say the book is flawless, the introduction of Maul felt a little off, the whole Chosen One nonsense wasn't that much more appealing here than it was in the prequel films, and some character names felt weird on principal. This book is one of my all- time favorites.
