Some rhymes are a teensy rough
Adore the book over all. Note the line "a little rough to go through, so that can trip up LOs learning to read." If I could offer the suggestion one editor, it would be to make this a little more younger kid friendly by adding a single short line at the top One Ewok and then lead into the rhyming bit.
MUST HAVE for Star Wars fans!
It was a Christmas present from my niece, a huge Star Wars fan. But I'm not sure who the book more appeals to - her niece or the adults. It was such a pleasure to read through, even though the cover didn't exactly scream "Awesome!" This one is on my niece's bookshelf.
   Vibrant art!
Television images could not be loaded. This is truly amazing work of art. Even if Harrison Ford has his way, the rhymes are good enough to go with the Star Wars story line. It's just that she's still young so she kinda just stares at the flora, but I enjoy reading it to her. I'm sure she'll enjoy it when she's older.
   Perfect baby shower gift
The Star Wars themed present was given to employees expecting their first child and are using the "Star Wars" theme. They really liked the books and thought they were a great addition to the boys' library, they said. Many joked that they wanted to keep the books for themselves.
Super Cute for that growing Padawan
Note that this book goes all the way through 20 and is great for older children. The book is a great way to practice enunciating difficult words. Even with our little guy, we still read all sorts of books!
Cute book, but research before buying
Loved the book. It was a Star Wars-themed present for friends and family who have kids of their own. The wording isn't bad or anything, but for children, I think it comes off a little harsh, said Dr. Charles Bloom, director of the NIH's Child Development Center. Before you buy, you want to see some of the cases. That said, I'm not a big fan of the zebra print.
Cute, canonical, but w/a few poor rhymes
This book is really cute, and I think we can't ask too much of it, given that it's trying to convey very complicated film material in a counting book for young readers, Raymond said. Many of the raps are slightly clunky, and the music is not all that great. It seemed worse when I read it to myself than it did when I read it to my son, but a likely part of the problem is that I usually have my editor brain on, she said. Chances are good that others wouldn't notice or care if they're in the target age range. But if you have an “editor brain,” beware. The illustrations are cute, and the book mostly follows the canon, even according to my husband, who I promise you would call it out for any minor violation. I'm not sure this is a bad thing, Graham said.
Great for Star Wars fans to share
Such a cute face! Bought as a surprise for my husband to read with our son. The rhyming and illustrated book is also available in hardback with the accompanying illustrated woodcut.
Probably one of my favorite children’s books
I've read all the books, but this is by far my favorite. Of course, I am a Star Wars fan so that has something to do with it, but the rhymes themselves are witty and clever. Also, I like how long the book is because most children's books are too short for story time, even though there are some great picture books. My only thing I wish it was more like a board book because I have a kid that likes to turn the pages and she gets too excited and will rip them if not watching.
   Fun rhymes and amazing illustrations
While he couldn't understand anything at first, he has enjoyed listening to rhyming books since he was a few weeks old. The flow of these poems can be awkward sometimes, but they're always fun, and we love the illustrations. My little guy often chooses these books from his book bin and carries them over for my husband or me to read to him.
