   Exactly what I ordered
The books I received were exactly what I ordered, sadly one was in a little bit of rough condition when I received it.
   great character development!
If you are a Padmé or a prequel fan, you would enjoy this book. It is not the most action-packed star wars that read, but is still thoroughly entertaining!
   A Pleasant Surprise
I was pleasantly surprised '' by this book. It is not the greatest read in the Cannon, but it was more enjoyable than I expected, about Padme and the Senate.
   Hope there are more
This is an excellent book about Padme and her friends. I love Padme's character and it is about time that a book about her was written. I hope that more are written.
   Character Piece
If you enjoyed E.K Johnston's Ahsoka'' or are interested in Padmé as a character, you will enjoy the novel. There is no direct plot ; it felt more like a character piece. Overall, a fun, light read.
   Damaged cover
I just received my copy, so I haven't had a chance to read the book, but I wanted to let you know that it came with some damage to the cover. In some light, dark mud in other places is shiny. Too many edges are worn down.
This book does not further the plot of Star Wars in a big way, but provides some much needed character development for Padmé and her handmaidens.
   Politically Heavy
First of all, let me say that the author is not a bad author. I was looking forward to it, but Padme was politically heavy, just like the prequels of the Star Wars films with little action other than some murder attempts and a small space conflict at the end.
   Absolutely no climactic moment
This book has no good moment of victory or character development or anything that could be considered a climactic story. This is literally like a day in the life of the type book with no real story, no depth, nothing. It is thus far the worst book written in the new Star Wars Canon. I've read books that had no action and were based purely on intrigue and dialogue. Those books had conjuring moments and story development.
Never Underestimate the Power of Padmé & Her Handmaidens.
If you like the feeling brought to the Star Wars universe by the Clone Wars, you will love this book and it's careful examination of the growth of several key figures from the prequel era. The book dives into the lives of the queens and her companions as they begin a new journey... some together, some apart, but all out of the Queen's shadow.
