Book Overview

Dennis Prager contends that humanity confronts a monumental choice. The whole world must choose between American values and two oppositional alternatives: fundamentalist Islam and European-style democratic socialism. In this visionary book, Prager makes the case for the American values system as the most viable program ever devised to produce a good society.

Still the Best Hope deals with three major themes, each vital to America's future. The first is perhaps the most persuasive explanation for why Leftism has been and will always be a moral failure, despite its appeal to many people of goodwill. The second explains why fundamentalist Islam also cannot make a good society--though Prager holds out hope for an open and tolerant Islam. The third is a persuasive defense of what Prager calls the American Trinity: liberty, values rooted in the Creator, and the melting-pot ideal.

Prager shows why these values can and must be adopted by every nation and culture in the world, why Americans must relearn and recommit to these values, and why the United States must vigorously export them.

excellent explanation of the profile of leftists and Muslims
This is a quick read, though it is well researched. Prager spent half a decade assimilating all his interactions on radio for a fast, accessible explanation of traditional American heritage and its most significant and substantive sociocultural rivals.

Fresh perspective, logical reasoning, honest conclusions.
Every time I learn it, I pick up something new. Mr. Prager explores three basic world views -- leftism, conservatism and Muslims -- their goals, beliefs and outcomes -- without being derogatory or hateful. He supports ideas and policies by their end result instead of their intentions and analyzes his conclusions with examples. It is a joy to read!

   Liberty - A high value
Dennis Prager in Still the Best Hope clearly distinguishes the differences between those on the right and those on the left. He does not like it without anger or hatred. He uses facts and reason to express the importance of national values and the role that America plays in the world.

A CONCISE, CLEAR EXPLANATION OF AMERICAN CULTURE--PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
A concise, clear, easy to follow explanation of contemporary American culture. From where it came from, how it came here, where it is headed, and what can be done about it. American ideals have proven to be the best for making the largest number of people the happiest, freest and most prosperous. When America has gone the wrong way, it is because it has veered from these ideals.

   Thank you Dennis
I listen as often as I can to the Dennis Prager show. I work in an extremely liberal environment and Dennis gives me ideas about how I can debate the facts with my liberal coworkers intelligently. Dennis again thanks!

   Worthy read
American Book about the Truth about Terrific Values and why they are actually very important and special in the world. It also explains left values and why they are in opposition to American values. Hard to read, great to put down.

   American Exceptionalism Explained
This would be a great text for our schools to explain why we are the way we are. There should be NO doubt that our beginnings were based on Judeo-Christian principles. If we become just another nation that will step in and help those in need? I don 't see Russia, China nor Iran helping those in dire situations! The book was researched and supported by facts. Prager leftnothing to chance and, regardless of where you are politically, we must consider ourselves blessed to be American. I am an American of Mexican descent and my wife is an American of Scottish descent. Had Hitler won the war, I can not fathom the hate and death that would have come to my entire family. To fight evil was to save myself and to find those values of God, family and country. I just don 't see the left standing up to Hitler, Mao, Stalin or Ahmadinejad! The larger the government, the smaller the citizen-right Dennis?

   What makes America unique?
The purpose of our public schools was to knit together a diverse population with a common understanding of their country and its uniqueness. This book takes the charge and provides a concise, clear explanation of what makes the USA unique.

   Loving America
Book of Common Sense - Understandings is an excellent, truthful book. Prager, a devout American, shows in a non-judal way how to love, strengthen and strengthen the principles of the American way of life. I bought five copies to give to friends who have been discouraged by the changes that failed to bring stability, prosperity, and spiritual happiness to this discontented world.
