   Good starter book on bats.
This book came as part of a bundle with a bat box set. I got them for my daughter, who loves bats and wants to provide them with alternate homes just in case they need them. It is very informative, has lots of beautiful pictures and is easy to understand while still giving warnings about handling bats and describing steps when one is encountered.

Christmas present for bat loving nephew
This was a Christmas present for a nephew who is really into the bats. He started really liking it and seemed to read it right after all the presents were opened.

   very informative
I just wanted a simple little book to give me the basics on bats, and this did the trick, I was very pleased with it, it listed lots of different kinds of bats and what area in the United States you might find them when they came out, great little book.

I was disappointed - not what I expected
I was disappointed, not what I expected. Too much personal info is not enough in the category of academic experience, including miserable failures at the bat, attraction and nurture.

   Quick reference book
For novices, great go to book.

   ID your bats.....
ID 'ing bats, and reading about individual types, is great. Pretty close to nothing about creating a bat house and attracting bats.
