Book Overview

This Description may be from another edition of this product.

Amy learned a lot in her babysitting course--but not what to do if two thugs show up, intent on kidnapping. When Amy agreed to babysit little Kendra Edgerton, she had no idea she was stepping into a kidnapping plot. Armed with misinformation and a weapon, the two men force the girls out of the house and take them to a remote cabin in the woods. There they make videos of the girls and mail them to Kendra's wealthy parents in an effort to get ransom money. After several of her escape attempts fail, Amy is forced to make one last, desperate move, sending clues to the police through the videos. But time is working against her.In Stolen Children, award-winner Peg Kehret crafts a suspenseful thriller with a spunky, resourceful heroine.

10 year old grandson loves this author
My grandson loves video games and loved this book by the author. He is making us happy that some books can compete with video games.

   Best book ever
It was a little damaged, but that is not a big deal. Since sixth grade, I' ve been waiting to get this book. I had fallen in love with the storyline. The radio station would recommend it.

   Just about right for fourth-grade
A fellow teacher suggested a book for my class to read. My students couldn't wait to see what happened next, the subject is dark, and the babysitter is brave.

Stolen Children: a book to inspire young readers!
I absolutely love this book. I read it to my 5 th graders and they liked it. The strong characters created by the author have to use ingenuity to solve their problems. Her characters are very smart.
