   Good but male-biased
The book is better than the previous edition. This edition helps one understand the overlaps and differences of both of these conditions and makes it easier to understand your close relationships that may be influenced by one or both of these conditions. The book acknowledges that historically women tended to be overdiagnosed and that the current rates are equal among men and women. There are three male-specific sections on how to deal with a woman partner. There is no section for women. When men are targets of women's violence, there is very little in the book about domestic violence. In some parts of the book, the partner is just called she. There is a huge gap in my view. It comes across as biased. Adding insult to the injury of women who have been abused.

A worrying look at how people see BPD
The book was recommended to me by my therapist who immediately apologized for the content that was in the book and not reading it thoroughly. It has been bothering me for a long time that someone who got so many people together to make a book could write something so bad about a disorder that is difficult to live with. You can tell from the first chapter that they don't portray BPD as anything other than a burden to family members and an absolute horror for everyone. Nobody who deals with this should read it. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone else.

If you love someone who has Borderline Personality Disorder, this book will help you!
The book was recommended to me by my daughter's counselor. It gave me advice on how to change my behavior, and it helped me understand the challenges my daughter was facing. I signed up for counseling for myself because I have failed in my attempts to help her. The book helps you realize you are not alone.

   Triggered
I don't know if they were in a mood when they wrote the book, but they have some really bad advice. This is for people who hate people with BPD.

Changed my Perceptions, Changed my World View
The book is very useful. Everyone should read it. Wow! The book helped me understand people, behavior and how to create boundaries. It has restored my faith in myself. It's a good read for anyone dealing with people.

   A healing journey
I have worked with this issue in my practice and have read many books about it. I try to keep extra copies of this book around to give to people in need. People ask what good reading a book will do. It helps you to forgive yourself, since those who are BPD often make those who are close to them feel like they are the ones with something wrong. One of the reasons I like to recommend this book is that it is easy to understand. People in the audience will come up to me and say that my talk made them recognize their mother, spouse, or someone else in their life. The book is very good. The Power of the Past and the Therapeutic Hypnotherapy was written by Drake Eastburn.

   Author doesn't understand BPD
This is the first book that shows up when you search for BPD and I support people being informed about it. The first time I was diagnosed, it immediately made me depressed. It sends a message that people with a disorder that is based off having irrational emotions and paranoid thoughts are a burden. The author could have used a better way to say it. It's important that the title is important.
