   Second only to the Bible, MUST READ!
I bought this for my husband and after reading it, he is a firm believer that if a Christian could have only two books, it would have to be the Bible and this book right here. If you are a Christianian, this should be your second most valuable book!

   In-Depth Work
Unlike other studies, we felt that this one gave us more insight into that simple sermon than any other we have read so far. I am no scholar, so I appreciated that the publication of this book is simple, yet it retains the depth of the sermon. Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains the sermon in such a way that we see clearly how to act on Christ's directives. We never felt that he tried to read Sermon on the Mount with any of his own ideas. For any Christian who wants to better understand this teaching and who wants to live these teachings, you'll find help of real substance here. After reading this amazing book we bought several as gifts. It is a treasure and we recommend you see it for yourself.

A few of my friends and I decided to memorize the sermon on the mount. It is very readable. Mr. Lloyd Martin brings great depth and understanding of Jesus's special sermon to bear. An 85-year-old mine client came to salvation reading it and I watched my 56-year-old brother go from new believer to believer, studying this book.

   Blank Pages
The book is not blank in that several of the pages are completely complete and skip over the narrative. I didn 't realize it until it was too late to return the book the first time, so I am left with an incomplete book for $30. I would not buy again from the seller this book.

   This is the best Christian book I’ve ever read. Period.
One of the coolest things about the Sermon on Mount is that it describes what a Christian is supposed to be like. It is literally the longest stretch of teaching in the Bible directly from Jesus. And Martyn Lloyd-Jones is known as one of the best expository teachers ever. I first heard about him because Tim Keller says he is one of his heroes. Another great thing about the book is that each chapter is a separate sermon that has been transcribed. So it naturally reads and doesn't feel like a textbook. So you can get in a rhythm and dive deep into the same passages day after day, week after week.
