The owner of a bakery shop is in the middle of final preparations for a Christmas party. She is showing all the recipes that were donated by the Lake Eden, Minnesota citizens. Everybody is shocked when Martin comes back with his wife. When the showgirl is found murdered and a storm keeps everyone from leaving, Hannah decides to find the killer before someone else becomes the killer's next snack. This was a well rounded mystery. I loved reacquainting with all of the wonderful characters. It was a mystery because there were over 50 recipes. I wonder if the plot developments were included in order to present all of the recipes.

I am a new fan of the Hannah swensen series. Her books caught me by surprise. She gives her recipes as a wonderful gift. Lemon meirange pie murder is my 4 th book in the series. Thank you for sharing your talents.

I love this series. I enjoy making the recipes. Almond flour and palm sugar are usually used for healthier versions of the recipes. These recipes and the characters are delicious. I enjoy this version of cozy mysteries. Thank you for that! My go- to cookies are the Desperation Cookies recipe that I have modified to make my own.

I started reading this series because I was looking for light reading. The inclusion of recipes was unexpected, but a nice touch, until I found some missing pages in the recipe section. This happened all the way through the entire book. Disappointed...

The Hannah Swensen mysteries are very intriguing. I had to find out what happened when my library only carries a few. I will continue to buy these books and others written by the same author. The recipes in the books are great. Several cookie recipes we love have been found by my granddaughters and I. She was Ms. He is a writer.

I like the books of Joanne Fluke. I like to read light mysteries these days. I like to read fiction for an escape, and ones that make me happy with the ending, because the world is getting violent.

When she wrote cozy mystery books they were OK

I started reading her books because they had a good plot, I don't care about the recipes, and they would put me in a coma. After book 8 or 9 there is no longer a decent plot, just a desert book with some pretty poor mysteries in between recipes, so poor, that I have been able to figure out who did it before I'm a quarter of the way into the book. 50% of her books are recipes, 40% are mysteries and 10% are telling you how much she likes these recipes. Lisa is the only character I enjoy. If you want to read a cozy mystery after the 7 th or 8 th book, then these are the books for you, but if you want desert recipes, then these are not the books for you.
