   Practice Makes Perfect
My 10 year old granddaughter's school has provided the Summer Bridge Activities workbooks to all of their students each summer. My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed playing with this workbook throughout the last three summers. It's great to cover so many subjects, Libowitz said. I just purchased the Summer Bridge Activities Grades 1-2 for my second granddaughter who attends a different school, and I can't wait to work with her!
Awesome! Easy 15-20 minutes a day.
Very good workbook, said Gillian Longworth, executive director of education for the Postal Service. I wish they were ready for the book. It gives the kids physical activities as well as written ones. However, the activities might take longer if you have twins or one that needs extra help reading the directions. It takes 30 minutes more to complete the two pages per day, Dvorak said. Only 30 minutes of work is needed to make this video work. The kids get stickers for completing all four activities. The other two kids get one, they don't get one. They're also earning stars if they do their pages with fuss.
   Great workbook - best yet
I think she's a pretty bright, self-motivated kid. I wanted to keep her active over the summer and I absolutely loved this book. She actually picks up the book on her own and does several pages a day, then gives herself her stickers.
   Great book!
I'm not a huge fan of Gillian and Will's book. It's just that it's hard to challenge him, but easy enough to where he can do them.
Keeping kids on track through the summer
I've used the workbooks, and they are great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
   Great workbook
This is great for kids who love to slide. Daily work is engaging and changes to keep kids interested and focused, he said.
   Great for summer!
We use them for review during the summer. It takes the average child one page to do the crossword. It also has a suggested reading list that my kids couldn't wait to start. We are so busy over summer with baseball, dance, beach and friends that this is the perfect amount of review each day to keep them from forgetting things they learned but not so much that they aren't able to enjoy the summer day. This is our second year buying these from the schoolbox and I really like them!
Covers a lot of material but included some things that my 1st grader hasn’t learned yet..
Since he came back from Iraq, I have had him do 1-3 pages a day. I'm not ashamed to say that he likes it. It was a total mockery of justice, said Blair, because they broke it up and switch subject frequently so he doesn't lose interest. But he will be a 2nd grader and we have come across some things he hasn't learned yet. But I think there are a few things that are a little tricky for me to explain. The product is being served its purpose, but I would recommend it to anyone.
   I recommend this
This book has really helped my son keep those math and reading skills he needs going into 2nd grade. I will say he usually hates doing it but it has definitely benefitted him, said Dr. Goin.
To help review school topics over the summer
The items were delivered within a timely manner, they said. Each book has three sections: "Beginning," "Intermediate" and "Advanced." Some of the topics covered are reading comprehension, time, phonics, language arts and grammar, addition, counting, and other topics. Each page is perforated and can come out in a single bound book. The book is divided into three sections: A History of the Beatles, Part 1; Part 2; and Part 3. However, some areas of the network are more advanced. I believe this will help us prepare for next year, in grade 2, he said. Instead of counting by the tens of thousands, we use the Latin formula. The problem is that the exponent may not be working properly. It's just that we're not allowed to smoke, Dave said. They are matched to three, hundreds, nine, and three-quarters of those.
