Wait - there's more! A series that improves with time!
I have always been fond of the Magic Tree House series, as these were the books that made my son a reader! After reading dozens of books, however, my son started to get tired of the same series and showed no interest in reading the last several books. Inspite of this, I had to buy this book when I saw the cover of a sea serpent that had to be intriguing! I am a mom that I have made my son read this book! He was hooked for about one minute and then he protested! While the first 20 books or so of the series are for younger readers, the last ones have grown and appeal to the 9-12 year old range. This series is full of adventure - this series keeps getting better! If your child thinks they've outgrown this series, pick up a copy of this book you never know, they may just find themselves hooked on the magical adventures of Jack and Annie!

   Ms. Osborne, did it again!
Another winner is this : My grandson turned the page on reading through her thoroughly exciting and informative series. He knows that I have several more on hand. When he is done reading one, he anticipates the next. I also read them so that we can talk about each exciting adventure. Osborne keeps writing Ms. Osborne.

   Another Winner
Mary Pope Osborne won another winner with the Summer of the Sea Serpent. I bought this book for my grandson and read it as usual before giving it. I am fortunate to have a seven-year-old grandson who loves to feed, it is a habit I love to read and thanks to this author and the Magic TreeHouse series, it is an easy task. Ruth Fever is a writer of Beverly J Scott's Choice, Righteous Revenge and Jena's Choice.

   Great ...as usual!
Ms. Osborne's magic in telling a story is really being shown in the latest series of the books. My son started off when he was 4 years old and is now approaching the second grade, he is still enjoying the series. The stories are so fun that even adults enjoy them. This book is great for summer and really gets you in the mood for a summer adventure. We plan to continue the series and I hope that Ms. Osborne ages the kids with more adventures! Thanks so much!    Another great Magic Tree house book!
Summer of the Sea Serpent is Book Number 31 in the Magic Treehouse series and is just as enjoyable as the other books in the series. My eight-year old borrowed this from the library at school and read it alone, then read it with his 5 yr. old sibling. I recommend this series to other parents as a lower introduction to mystical, magical, mythical reading books.

This was my favorite book series as a kid and I am so ...
This was my favorite childhood book series and I am so happy that they are still selling them. They are just as extraordinary in quality and content as I remember and I collect as many as I can find.

   Good Read
This book contains all three elements deemed essential for good fantasy story magic, mythology and medeival setting. Additionally, the story concerns two likable characters to which children relate easily. This book is not rated for nothing in the top 200 Amazon sellers, so that apparently a lot of other readers have enjoyed it.

One of the Best in the Series!
This is notable because it introduces a new character, a Selkie girl named Kathleen, who becomes a regular member of the cast from here. For children who love jellyfish, there is also a beautiful illustrated scene in which Jack and Annie must swim through an underwater tunnel of jellies.

   More Magic Tree House Fun!
This book is a solid addition to the sometimes-formulatic series of the Magic Tree House. Jack and Annie go on an adventure, have some thrills and help their old pal Merlin out. Kids who have enjoyed some of the other MTH books will probably enjoy this one, and those who found this book interesting will probably be open to more books about Arthor and Merlin.
