Definitely a best seller... according to my grandson
He also thanked Amazon for "finding a batsman book that I could download on the spot." My 3 year old grandson is wild about all the super heroes, and I was thrilled that I could find a new story for him, Mrs. Cowger said.

Got my grandson to desire to read
Getting my grandson interested in reading can be a challenge. The normal learn to read books do just that, with no story, cool characters or anything to grab his attention and interest, he said. The normal See Spot Run was enough to make my grandson want to run from books and read. Even with all the plot twists and turns, this book lacks much story line. It was just that he needed to smile and want to learn what the words say. A new book about the Beatles, "Reunion" by Simon & Schuster.

   OK. Would not buy again
Disadvantages: The amount of text seems appropriate for the reading level, even for a children's comic book, there is no speech bubble, and the graphics are lower quality than expected.

Not as good as it could be.
Good story, good artwork, but nothing exceptional. Not really controlled vocabulary, and I think it's terrible reading. When the only good thing is the superheroes, not the story or how it involves the reader, not really a good choice, Mr. O'Neill said.

Easy to read, good for sight words, isn’t boring!
I've read the book and found it to be very good. We collect these books and my son was super excited when we got this one. It's short and to the point so you can read multiple bed-time stories without spending an hour, but also tells a full story as opposed to the mini I can read that doesn't really tell the whole story.

Engaging for struggling first grade reader
This is a great read for our first grader. It is not easy for him to read but he likes it enough he is willing to work at it. He can be described as a struggling reader who can sound out some 800 words but only knows about 100. This is a nice read, especially with engaging illustrations. Also gives an opportunity to talk about the three species of birds featured in the story and where you would find them. The book is highly recommended.

Word count and if it's compatible with him.
My son is just now learning to read in Kindergarten and this book has not only been helping with that but he also loves DC Comics so it's fun! No complaints, just the inconvenience.

   New favorite!
The book is very well written and my 3 year old absolutely loves it. His new favorite? Though the sentences are short, they hold his attention and the imagery is his favorite. He also said that he doesn't understand why they are usually portrayed with angry faces in most books. It's just that they DID save the day, Mr. Rule told the judge. That really makes me happy, Beckham said. The Harrisons' lawyer Paul LiCalsi agrees with his client's logic. The cover is so cute, I almost fell over. Even my 5 year old has fallen in love with it.

   Interesting
This might be a good book for my child to read, but I don't like the fact that I am being forced to give a review of this book while in the process of reading it.
