Great introduction to SysML!

Purchased this book to get on SysML quickly. The book highlights the key features that one needs to become familiar with SysML. However, additional examples could be helpful, but then it could not be distilled. It is also helpful that the running example is provided as a file that you can load into your modeling tool. I found the explanations to be clear and easy to follow ''. The challenge with a book such as this dealing with a language that is changing is to keep it up-to-date. I recommend this book to anyone looking to quickly get up on SysML.

Concise and Accurate

After buying the paper version last year, I bought the Kindle version. Great reference to find the most popular features of the language quickly. Concise and accurate, and much easier to follow and understand than other books on the market. A perfect guide for those who are interested in certification and at the same time keep a copy on the side of your computer. This book is a great introduction to the language's elements and relations. As most practitioners can measure, there is still a lot of time to learn alongside learning the fundamentals. It is my wish that the author follows this excellent book with a second, a guide for the construction of a SysML model, by recommending the best practices. I know this is a big challenge as it is a subject where a specific size does not fit for all... When you are a newbie, don 't hesitate to view this book as your introduction and reference. This book is the reference material of a 14 sessions - webinar, which is currently offered by the author.

Great introduction to the Art of SysML or Systems Modeling Language

SysML Distilled is a great reasonably short introduction to SysML's best practices of language usage. As a long-term UML designer, this book was very helpful in guiding my UML work to be more compliant and engage with SysML modeling problem spaces. I encourage anyone, whether UML experienced or not, to purchase this book and read through it to get up to speed and become productive in SysML modeling. Dr J.W.M. is a psychiatrist.

The perfect companion book on SysML and modeling!

Started a position that required further knowledge of SysML and MBSE. BUT nothing gets more to the point and practicality of SysML for my professional needs than this book. From the insight he provides, you can really tell the author has a good deal of experience in systems engineering and MBSE. Easy and enjoyable to read.
