   Pictures are not glossy
The book is made of paper and is inoperative. Wanted to give as a present, and won't now.

   Beautiful illustration and fun reads
Generally speaking this book is easily one of the most beautiful pieces I own. Definitely one of my favorites and one I'll use as stories to tell my own children. Each tale is between a few pages to a maximum of 20, all with their own lessons to be learned or something poetic in some way, complete with vivid illustration and even a very clean quality paper. It's definitely a must-have for someone who loves Japanese literature or something unique to tell the kids before bed!

   Pretty
My kids enjoy it more than I do. The illustrations are pretty but some of the stories are a tad strange. Might suggest this for kids that young.

   Very nice
It's a thick cover, so strong it flexes. Only a few pages of this book are actually illustrated. Traditional Japanese woodblock prints are also gaining popularity. The stories are well done, McBride said. The customer service was excellent, said Ragin.

Great quality book, great read and great artwork!
I absolutely love this book, it's got a lot of great stories, too, said Blair. The book is beautiful, and the artist is very good. Even if you are not into Japanese myths and legends, these stories are great and captivating. It looks great with my other mythology books, too, so that's another bonus!

This anthology ofJapanese tales is good
This is an anthology of Japanese tales, some of which are well-known. I enjoyed most of the ghost stories, but the others are too good.

   Good purchase
Got to me a little late, but given the current state of things, I don't think it will be that big a deal, he said. The book itself is in great condition, the buyer said. It comes with classically styled Japanese art from a Japanese artist that stands out in a crowd. There is also a ribbon that you can use as a bookmark.

   Beautiful Books!
He has also published a book, "Nordic Tales: A History of the Seven Deadly Sins." I am excited to read them both and to be able to read great history and culture again and again.

   Great book!
I highly recommend this book to anyone. It got all I was looking for, Tunick said. The quality of the paper is excellent. Stories and shirts that are well written and well-illustrated, plus nothing academic.
