   Not a hippy dippy book.
I'm that inner tiger, Tame that I'm a veteran, who was used to being back in a world where everyone got stupid while I was gone. This book will help me rip those urges to calm the heads of people.

   Pefect.
This book has been helpful for me and my clients. Working with people struggling with violent emotions, pain, anger, betrayal, heart fracture, trauma and abuse. This book hits the spirit and goes beyond the mind and into the heart. All of the clients I have shared this book with have obtained their own copies and read them. This is an important book because it is comprehensible and not overwhelming or academic. It offers hope through identifying what is true for all people and through this truth, readers are encouraged to a new way of being in thought, feeling and action that promotes well being and health.

   Short meditations help a lot.
I like that this book is composed of short snippets from Thich Nhat Hanh's other books. This does not have the explanation, just the meat of what you need. This is particularly helpful when the mind is in the grip of a difficult emotion, I found this. In other words, when you need it really, you get the stuff that this book offers. I read through it twice and I regularly return to it to help me reframe these emotions. Nothing is a magic pill, but this is one of the best things I have found to help me during difficult times.

Not what I thought it would be
I was surprised to find only a few sentences per page in this Thich Nhat Hanh volume. The content of the meditations is fine, but I wouldn't have paid $10 for the book if I knew that the content was so skimpy. This volume also contains previously released material.

   Simple, short thoughts.
The only reason I give this 5 is because mine came with a bent cover. It is a very simple book. Short, simple statements that are meant to be meditated on. It is an interesting guide for short thoughts.

   Good
In this book, great things to say... I was a little disappointed to find out it is just a compilation of quotes from his other books. It is just one quote per page... felt like a little gypped... not a bad book for daily meditation though.

   love them all
I read most of his books, love them all. This was the first book I ever picked up and I still believe that it is the best. It helped me so much in a time when I thought I couldn 't change. This is something that everyone should read!

   Deeply Profound
One of the most compassionate, kindness, and loving books I have read in years, a must if you would like to know about negativity and how to move beyond it.

A nice little book of quotes
When I ordered it, I did not realize that it was really just a compilation of TNH quotes. It is still a helpful resource, though, and I would recommend it for daily reflections on the theme.

a quiet book for a quieter you
It is easily read in a few hours, a place to think and return one page at a time before going into the crowded world.
