   poignant and realistic
A popular basketball player, Andy drives drunk and the result is a car accident that kills his good friend, Robert. His guilt, inability to share his feelings with others and run-ins with well-meaning adults who are ineffective in helping him to come across as poignant and realistic. Andy is drifting away from friends, family and his girlfriend, Drifting on a course of self-destruction. The story is told in letters, police reports, newspaper articles, dialogue... everything but prose, which made the novel even more powerful, as it is told from different perspectives.

I give it five stars because it was a good book. The part of the book that I did not like was when Andy shot his self out of pain and the other part that I don 't like is the part where Robbie died, that was sad too. Yes, I would recommend this book to a friend.

This book was an amazing book. It made me cry, because it is sad how he died at the end and how all his friends rewrote him all the notes. I really like to read more books like this ''. My 12-year-old had to read it, as recommended by the school for summer reading. This book is responsible for my son to cry for a few nights, he told us that he will never take HIS OWN LIFE!! He must leave his FAMILY!!! What is this kind of crazy? This is what our children are reading that day, and in a negative way directly affecting their mind. Never before this book, my son will think that some people commit SUICIDE when they can 't deal with troubled thoughts. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! Hey! ''
