I have ordered this for a confirmand. My 12 - year old daughter picked it up and read over half of it that night. She is now asking myself for one, and when I asked her why she liked it so much, she said, It's all I hear and see '' it is just crazy, dealing with real issues our young girls are dealing with. Exactly as described : Bought for my 12 year old daughter and after reading the reviews, I have read some through it to make sure it is appropriate for her. So far, I think I'm going to go ahead and let her have it and just talk to her about being open with questions. I would consider her for her age a little mature, so that others may choose differently. It is a beautifully written book and we like that it comes from her peers. There are 365 devotionals, but they are not dating.

I bought this book as a confirmation gift for a 13 year old girl '', and when I looked at some of the devotions, I do not feel some of the themes are appropriate for young teens. Don 't misunderstand me, I believe that these themes should be dissed with young teens, but I do not think it is appropriate to hand them a book with a 2 -- 3 paragraph devotion on these topics without any follow-up discussion. Eventually I did not give her this book and gave her a Bible for teen girls instead!

She says that the information has provided useful insight into her maturing thoughts and feelings. I like this book a lot ''. It is really helpful to have a teenager being a part of some of the problems we face. I do wish the day to day things were a little longer as they're only a short page. But I make it longer by reading the page the reading the chapter the Bible verse that they use.
