Don't waste your money on the board book
I remember reading this when I was a child, so I bought the board - book version for my 2yo. We were happily reading along and then stopped abruptly - at least to me - it was abruptly. I was disappointed, and my son was underwhelmed. So I got this copy for him. This is what I recalled as a kid loving THIS! The rhythm is silly, the story is fun and my son loves to count the apples. Spoiler alerts the board book stops when the lion, tiger and dog get 10 apples on their heads and skips the roller skates. The paper-page version keeps going, and is at least twice as long. In short, buy this, not that.

   Good Gift for All Ages!!
I bought this for my grand niece, who is two years old. When she was unwrapping her present, she saw the cover and sat down to read the book. The older members of the family want to read the book, too. DR. Seuss appeals to all age groups! I would recommend this book to anyone of any age. I would recommend it to anyone. It is one of the lesser known books written by Dr Seuss, but a good one.

   Apple Fun
Such a funny story for toddlers. Surprise ending with rhymes they like, funny characters and fun ending. My great grandson, 22 months old, enjoyed the story. Good for the fall months for the fall.    Super short story
My son is two years old and was very upset because he could not find the bears. He knows the full version of the book because his older brother has it. I didn 't want him to damage it, so I ordered this one. I read the comments about the short version of this board book, but I did not think that it would be so short! Very disappointed ''.

   Color of binding?
The color of the book I thought would be the vibrant lime green as pictured, but is clearly a stock image. The particular printing of the book I received was a dingy olive green color for its cover. I teach the story, as do the preschoolers I teach, but the binding color makes me want to vomit just. Wish it was the Lime Green variant.

   One of my kids favorites.
This is a great book. One of my favorites was to read to my children when they were younger. I got this one for a baby shower gift. They requested books with something personal written inside instead of cards. I loved this idea because how many cards have you purchased and they are just thrown away. The price was great too, about the same as a card. With the special buy 2 you get the third free, so I shared the price with 2 other people who are going.

The board book is not the full version
I ordered the board book, but I didn 't know that it was an abridged version. So just so you know, it is missing some of the original book. In the original version, they get chased by a bear with a broom, fall into an apple cart, and then everyone has apples up on their heads. The board book version ends before all this occurs.
