   Love It!
My second high school students are reading this in cultural arts and the non-fictional book Pilgrims in language studies. Teachers - Pay teachers have wonderful booklets to use with both books.

   Really Cute Thanksgiving Story
I just finished reading this to my ten year old grandaughter and my six year old grandson, I believe in the home school. They could have it all read on their own, but I like to read some things together for us to read. We all enjoyed the book and I will soon be looking for more books to use from this series.

Another wonderful teaching adventure with Jack and Annie
This time we learned about the First Thanksgiving, Priscilla and Squanto. But most importantly, we learned what community means and how thankful we should be for all the modern day amenities we have and for our friends and family. Once again, Jack and Annie taught us important lessons, all while sharing with us another great adventure! Now we're off to learn all about Hawaii!

   The magic of community
The Magic Tree House is great at teaching historical facts and events to very young children. They are also very easy to read and characters are always fascinating, though repetition in text formats and language may be boring for the adult reader, not to the younger crowd... Under 10 children love repetition exactly as their younger children do. This particular book is no exception : the two siblings go to Plymouth on the first thanksgiving day and get busy helping Priscilla, a young Pilgrim, get ready for the big feast. Of course, nothing goes exactly like they want to go, but that helps them find out what is really important, and I would recommend this book to children in the second and third grade. I think that older children might be confronted with something more difficult.

   Boring, Boring, & Thanksgivingnesh
All this book is about how the Indians and Pilgrims started giving thanks. It was then alright. CAREFUL WHEN YOU READ THIS BOOK!!!

As a child, Magic Treehouse established in my daughter a deep love of reading. She is almost 11 and reads them still! She reads every single story she loves.

   Disappointed.. unappealing look inside.
Im disappointed with the look of this book. Very unappealing. The paper is a black and white color and all the pictures are in grayish white, which gives it an overall dreary look.
