Book Overview

This Description may be from another edition of this product.

When a horrifying attack leaves one of the four members of the Women's Murder Club struggling for her life, the others fight to keep a madman behind bars before anyone else is hurt.

And Lindsay Boxer and her new partner in the San Francisco police department run flat-out to stop a series of kidnappings that has electrified the city: children are being plucked off the streets together with their nannies--but the kidnappers aren't demanding ransom. Amid uncertainty and rising panic, Lindsay juggles the possibility of a new love with an unsolvable investigation, and the knowledge that one member of the club could be on the brink of death.

And just when everything appears momentarily under control, the case takes a terrifying turn, putting an entire city in lethal danger. Lindsay must make a choice she never dreamed she'd face--with no certainty that either outcome has more than a prayer of success.

   The 6th Target
I have read all of Patterson's up to now and each seemed to get better and better. The plots were more exciting, the characters had more depth. I don 't know, maybe it is because I read so many at once, but I was really not impressed with this plot or the way Lindsay deals with Joe. I feel like shaking her and telling her to get a grip! '' The women's murder club in this book doesn 't really feel like they're together!

   Good read
It is easy to read and packed with adventure. Worth the purchase, but I hate to pay so much for the kindle edition.

   ANOTHER EARLIER GOOD READ
Either these books are easy to read or I enjoy them immensely. Although I know what happens down the road, it makes sense when they refer back after reading them. Boxer and Conclin pay once again hard work, long hours and determination when looking into each case. I'm sure that working on several cases at a time is very common, but it amazes me how much time passes without sleep, eating junk food and sometimes lack of ant social life keeps law enforcement going. Each book finds me admiring the work that each individual does in real life.

The heroine is put into an overwhelming situation when her best friend becomes a victim of a mass shooting incident ...
Another excellently written book in the series Murder Club for women is also an excellently written book. The heroine is put into an overwhelming situation when her best friend is a victim of a mass shooting incident and then complicated by the abduction of a child. Her personal life becomes a mess when her love relationship takes a dump. It is very interesting how the writer weaves the story so that while working on the job, she must follow what she was taught at the police academy, that they can not bring personal emotions and feelings to the job, as it can be very dangerous.

   6th Target
In this book, there was a lot going on. Usually we have a personal case and then main life stuff, but this was kind of all over the place. I reread the series, but I stopped at number 8 and I remember that it got weird. I 'll power on! Lol's wife is a professional wrestler.

   Great Team
I really enjoy these four women's characters and the teamwork they use to help each other solve murders. I really wanted to see a woman's murder club book made into a movie to see who would be cast as the girls '' as well as Rich, Joe and many other characters. Good reads and quick stories.

   Addictive series
This series is enjoyed. Suspenseful is building characters while building them throughout the series.

   Not So Hot
I have enjoyed Patterson's books in the past, but this one was not a favorite. It was completely unconnected three small mysteries, with no teamwork used to solve them extremely disjointed. The whole book could have been better if it were just focused on the case at Cindy's apartment and threw the rest. The abduction case was predictable, and the case about the schizophrenic fell flat because it was pretty clear that he WAS insane and we already knew who it was. The book was uncompelling because the book skipped and couldn t focus. The fact that it was split into so many chapters and swapped between first and third person did not help. Also small pet peeve, but terrible overuse of overdramatic italics.

   Creepy criminals
As always, great story and scary to think crazy or not, people can escape institutions and continue to kill. Several events that happened simultaneously made the story more exciting.

Fantastic Mystery Series by James Patterson
I have read books by James Patterson for decades. One of my top 3 writers is. About two years ago, I started reading the Murder Club series of women. I started with 1st to Die and I read them in order. Today I started #7. These are fantastic reading, when I start a book, I can 't stop reading until it is finished. This is the best series I have ever read in years. There are so many twists and turns that you haven 't a clue what happens next. I'm hooked after the first page. If you love a great mystery, you will love these books. A+++++
