Great book

My daughter loved reading this book. We heard all the 7 habits of happy kids while touring a local private school. The book made learning about 7 habits for my 9-year old enjoyable. She was able to relate to the characters in the book.

His favorite is Bored, bored, and he even knows how to spell bored now. This book gives a story to each habit and gives tips for parents on how to explain the habit to the child, what questions to ask etc. It is a very effective tool and fun at the same time!

Great set of values for little ones and even for adults who would never read the 7 habits of highly effective people. I have 5 children and my 4 who are old enough to understand really enjoyed the stories and discussions.

Great Lessons
Derived From Web , May 17, 2022
I bought this book for my third fourth year of high school education. After reading it, I decided that it was worth my educational time to read it to my students a little bit at a time. My students love character and story-telling. At the end of each chapter, I love the lessons. There is a note to parents and then discussion questions as well as baby steps to do in the child's life to put these habits into practice. The book is suited very well as a read-with-me book for children and adults to share time together. The hardcover copy comes with a dust jacket, but the cover of the book is also fully illustrated. It is approximately larger than a sheet of paper. This book would be fantastic in a classroom or at home. I have received more copies to give to my nieces and nephews as gifts.

It's a winner!

I bought this for my 2 grandsons ages 4 &512. Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, the first 3 words of the book got my attention. During my visit, we read the book several times. Great lessons in life. I only gripe-I didn 't like the focus on who is fault. I crossed that word and rewrote-who is responsibility for that? I think that is a better lesson in life.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People... Kids Edition!!
Derived From Web , Aug 24, 2021
I have always loved the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by the late Dr Stephen Covey. I enjoy teaching it and, whenever possible, living it to colleagues and friends. I now learn to have my own children learn about it! It is like a wish that comes true! Such a wonderfully deep and meaningful part of anyone's life has now become something simple enough for young people to learn. HIGHLY recommend it!

Language and Approach Fails With Kids
Derived From Web , Mar 6, 2021
Horrible : It is like listening to an adult lecture a child through the entire book. Condescending to the kids. The Coveys have not made a successful transition from adults to children. To make it worse, my children's school uses the 7 Habits program, for which they paid in the district. Both my children hate the program. It speaks as if it is talking to an adult. My kids are turned off by the approach and so am I, I apologize for being so critical, but it is not working.
