I just am not sure it filled the need that I had. I was looking for a quick reference for spelling and phonetics. This is probably worth having as a reference, but if someone asked me for a recommendation I would tell them to buy understanding the logic of english.

The boy's sixth-grade teacher at Barre Middle School in West Haven, Conn., recommended that he take the test. I have given this book as a present to my grade school teacher friends and recommended it to several special education teachers. I have never learned these rules, and I'm still struggling. My hope is that this type of information will be useful to the future teachers of spelling. Thanks for visiting!

Most UNBELIEVABLE book

I bought this for my daughter-in-law to help with her grandbabies' education. I used this book with my kids when they were homeschooled. I was so impressed—and excited—to have something that actually described what, why, and how spelling in American English was the way it is! The material in this book helps not only *spelling*--but vocabulary and reading comprehension, because there is a "why." Berkshire Hathaway made a profit of $1.7 billion last year alone on the sale of its stake in AOL.
