Book Overview

START YOUR ENGINES, friends, as we hit the road again with Taako, Magnus and Merle, the beloved agents of chaos from the #1 New York Times Bestselling books The Adventure Zone: Here There Be Gerblins and The Adventure Zone: Murder on the Rockport Limited.

Our boys have gone full-time at the Bureau of Balance, and their next assignment is a real thorny one: apprehending The Raven, a master thief who's tapped into the power of a Grand Relic to ransack the city of Goldcliff. Local life-saver Lieutenant Hurley pulls them out of the woods, only to throw them headlong into the world of battle wagon racing, Goldcliff's favorite high-stakes low-legality sport and The Raven's chosen battlefield. Will the boys and Hurley be able to reclaim the Relic and pull The Raven back from the brink, or will they get lost in the weeds?

Based on the beloved blockbuster podcast where three brothers and their dad play a tabletop RPG in real time, The Adventure Zone: Petals to the Metal has it all: blossoming new friendships, pining for outlaw lovers, and a rollicking race you can root for

   Your babiest brother strikes again!
The art is great, the story is beautiful and they have adapted the podcast in comic form VERY well in my opinion. I love it.
   Same book, less money...
This is the 3rd book of a book series, at least that i was told in a book store. It is the exact same book for much less money than the major book store we went to had it priced. She loves that it is on the inside comic book style, but the outside looks like a regular children's book.
Very nicely drawn / colored realization of the Petals to the Metal adventure
If you are not familiar, this is the third adventure of the Adventure Zone. Begins here with Gerblins. This is a really nice book for any fan of TAZ, if you liked the other books, what are you waiting for?
   Another perfect adaptation
Fans of the podcast The Adventure Zone know that it is hard to describe what it exactly is that makes the show work so well. You wouldn't think that a funning family gaming session would make for freewheeling listening. The concept of taking one step further and binding it in book form seems to be redundant, but it actually does. Additional points for the legally distinct likeness of the Deals Warlock!
I love these good good boys
I'm so happy with the third installment! '' It's so cool and I'm so happy that they made the LGBTQ+ characters more overtly gay in the novel. The illustrations are top-notch and storytelling is amazing. I can not recommend this more.
A "Must Buy" book in Series
Finally, getting into the meat and bones of the TAZ The Adventure Zone story, the comedy is balanced with the very interesting story development and character development along with Carey's illustrative view of the podcast series. If you love TAZ with the Tres Horny boys and order this graphic novel now, you do not want to miss out.
Can 't wait any longer for the Crystal Kingdom arc! However, small request... can you guys bring back the embossed TAZ logo?
   Well worth the wait
I loved this comic ''. PttM is a turning point in the series and I think they have adapted it particularly well. Hurley and Sloane's relationship is given much more breathing space and development. And the Battlewagons look absolutely amazing!
Carey Pietsch's art is epic in capturing this beloved story and adding AMAZING bonuses for podcast lovers. I can not stress enough that this is not just a remix of the TAZ Balance podcast ; this is a work of art in its own right, and art itself is just stunning. Physically, I can 't wait for the next installment of this wonderful series!
The campaign really starts to become the campaign we know and love
In my opinion, PTTM is really important when Griffin realizes where he wants to go with the whole campaign. It begins to really come together. The artistry is incredible and Carey continues to knock it out of the park with her illustrations. The dialogue is perfect, humorous and as always a little heart wrenching. I wouldn 't say that PTTM is my favorite, but I still love it absolutely. Bravo to McElBoys and Carey for being an amazing team and bringing it to paper!
