Great why no colorful illustrations?

My 4 yr old loves to read this book. He read 3 pages, while I read 1 page until we've read an entire chapter each night. My son loves the story and is an easy read with some challenging words for him to improve his decoding skills. I really wish the illustrations were colorized.

A great read! First of a series but worth getting hooked!

My 6 year old loved it and we are now reading the second. A new look at what it is like to be an “outsider†and fun in town. I like that this book has diversity, but does not call attention to it, just lets the kids be kids and parents are parents. I really recommend this read! '' Good conversation starter, fun, funny, and a quick, fun conversation starter.
