In the fifth book of the Alien Next Door series, Zeke, Harris, and Roxy all try out for the baseball team, but Zeke can't resist using his powers to help him play better than everyone else.

It's baseball season, and Zeke, Harris, and Roxy all decide to try out for the team. Zeke doesn't quite know how to play baseball, but his powers allow him to pitch and hit better than anyone else But Harris thinks that what Zeke is doing is cheating, since none of the other players have his powers, and he's also concerned that someone might discover Zeke's an alien. But Zeke doesn't see a problem with this, causing tension in their friendship. Can Zeke and Harris save their friendship, or will they strike out?

Perfect book for my second grade son!
My second grade boy has had a hard time finding a book, let alone a series he likes. I bought him the first for Valentine's Day, if he didn 't like it, oh well. It was also entertaining for me and his grandmothers, who he read to them facetime. He was able to read most of the words but still had a bit of challenge. The challenging words were not enough to discourage him. He is almost done with the series now and I dread it!

   Great series for little readers
He really got him interested in reading. He brings it to me in the morning and often throughout the day, I want to read more chapters. You can order 1-4 books in a book and then the others have to be read separately.

   Decent Story. Baaad English.
One might think that this book was published with the utmost attention paid to editing, especially because it bears the name Simon and Schuster, a very recognizable name in publishing. One would be wrong if I teach a course in reading comprehension for children. I have chosen this book for a recent section of the course. While it is a decent story, I find it rather puzzling and somewhat embarrassing that this book is filled with so many blatant grammatical errors. In particular, chapters 5, 6 and 7 were all laced with my apology to an eight-year-old student who consistently stumbled over the errors, herself recognizing the errors, I paid an amount of money in exchange for a product of which I had certain expectations based on the publisher's name. I now feel that I have wasted that money and I lost respect for the publisher. In the future, I won 't put so much trust in the name.

The book is a good book for young readers who started reading on their own. Son has all these books and loves them all.
