   Outstanding resource
I have read a lot of books about developing teams and this one is unquestionably one of the best. The book is interesting and written clearly and offers a balance between theory and practice. Avec the purchase of the book, one also gets access to many of these resources in digital form on the website of Elena Aguilar. If you're an educational leader interested in your school's transformation, I highly recommend this book.

An invaluable resource for coaches and team leaders
This book is an invaluable resource for individuals and organizations involved in adult coaching teams. Because the author has extensive experience in coaching individuals and teams, she is able to combine research, best practice and experience in her text. Additionally, the book is packed full of practical advice, tools, forms and surveys. This is definitely a resource that I use in my work with networks of educators in Alabama, particularly our network of educational coaches.

   Excellent Resource for School Leaders
My position as an instructional coach often involves working with more than one teacher or a staff member in the school system. This book is very clear, has lots of examples and models to work with, and explains the reasoning or thinking behind the suggestion. I am really glad I read it, and it is my go-to resource when I want to work with a new group of people.

The Art of Coaching Teams was an effective read on how to coach a coaching plan and develop individuals for student outcomes to success. What made the original book successful was the practical and novel approaches used by Ms. Aguilar in her work. Reading this book is sad in comparison to her former work. At its best, this feels like a regurgitation of her previous work and success. At worst, this feels like a cheap ploy to make money and leaves the reader generally wondering if she understands all the sources she cites. Ms. Aguilar offers no new or original ideas, in fact, keeping the same two points in her career as consistent hallmarks, and repeatedly mentions the same tools and techniques from her previous work. Instead, read the Art of Coaching.
