A much needed perspective

This book talks about how society approaches minority groups. The author used a large- scale dataset from a Los Angeles cohort to look at how we view Asian- Americans and other minority groups. It shows the dark side of having a narrow view of what is considered successful, which will make readers eager to continue reading and researching literature on this topic. There can be biases and inherent confound in studies that only look at data in coastal areas of America, so it would be nice to have similar studies in the future that look at data in different parts of America. An essential book for people interested in immigration, parenting styles and achievement in general.
