   Buy this book! Worth the cost!
I bought this book because my husband bought me a kitchen aid mixer and I am determined to not have it sit on my counter like our deep fryer or our expensive juicer, and never use it. Since buying this cook book, I' ve made something from it every Sunday, starting from page one and working our way through it recipe by recipe. I thought I'd died and gone to cake heaven when we had the lemon curd cream cheese cake. The instructions are easy to follow even for beginners.
   Great, indepth book!
The book is so detailed it can sometimes be overwhelming. Every step of the way, you will know every tip and trick. It is recommended to read the whole recipe before starting. It would take two days for the recipe to rise and be refrigerated. They were amazing after they were done! The book made it easy to make them perfect.
   Insulting to refer to this book as a Bible
This is not a bible for beginners. To me a bible is more than just a book of recipes. The book is large and very good. This doesn't cover any of the basics that a beginner would need to learn to bake. There is a short section in the back about ingredients and equipment, but nothing about baking basics.
   Easy to follow and incredibly detailed
The recipes are very easy to follow. The strangest ingredients in here are turbinado sugar and Dutch process cocoa powder. I am in love with this cookbook. You can easily modify recipes to your liking. The author of each section has a list of methods that can be used if something goes wrong. This is the best cook book I have ever owned and I can't wait to own the other books from the author.
   Overly complicated recipes and not tasty
I' ve tried to like this cookbook. I' ve made a few. They all involve ingredients that are difficult to find. I haven't found any of the recipes that I have tried to make taste good. I wanted to like this cookbook very much, but sadly it will be going to the local thrift store.
