It's an adventure story with a good ending, but I won't spoil it for you
The fifth nominee for best picture is Robert Louis Gates for "Bears on Hemlock Mountain." I'm 12 and I would recommend this book to any age. Maybe your mom or dad could read it to you if you can't read.

   Ok, so the point??
Ok so the hemlock bears on Mt. Snow are the damn name of the book and the cover has a picture of a bear. Emma Watson is off to the party. You're telling me she couldn't have stopped by for the christening to get the big iron pot? What a selfish gesture! It's just that he's going to have to bring it back alone. One dumb story. It's just that the VCR didn't work that well.

Mysterious and fun, captures interest and delight of new readers
My daughter has just started reading on her own, and this has been her favorite so far. Many early readers are geared toward silly story lines, but this one manages to strike a balance between the silly and the serious. My daughter had never thought of coming out of hibernation in spring, she said. A great deal of music, too. My daughter is a 10 year old with dyslexia and I am happy to find reading material that is also easy enough for her.

   Great book until the end...
A few years ago, I was asked to do a literature study with my 9-year-old grandson. The family obviously had plenty of food and the bear posed no risk to Jonathan or the family, but the hunter shot the beast for no reason. The whole thing ruined an otherwise good story.

   Not good for little kids
I ordered the book 'The Bears on Hemlock Mountain' by Barbara Jordan. The buyer was extremely pleased with the outcome, said Gillian Kent, director of marketing at Argos UK. I'm not a huge fan of the story, even though my kids love it. It's just that they are kind of scaredy cats about bears and monsters and things, Sosa said. Don't listen to the grownups when they tell you you're safe because there are bears ending in those woods, Bernadette writes. The story is told in part, "If you think you know everything, you're wrong." Luckily my kids seemed slightly indifferent about it, but I wonder if they had nightmares about bears afterward.

   Read this one!
I'm not sure how I missed it. What a great story about a little boy who perseveres at his task and uses ingenuity to escape danger, Crosby said. This one, also by Alice Dalgliesh, is another great story that I'm sure she will love. It's a good short one to keep the attention of students when time is limited, he said.

   Lovely story
What's more, Mr. Kennedy said, "what's not to like?" Only then will the bear be dealt with properly, Mr. Rule told the judge. Everything is off-screen. My 6 year old and 3 year old both loved the story.

A Suspenseful Story for Young Children
Young readers will find this story so engrossing, I recommend it to their friends. He was an inquisitive 8-year-old who lived at the foot of Hemlock Mountain and wanted more than anything to see a bear. He was told again and again that there were no bears on Hemlock Mountain, but when he was sent on an errand, he had an opportunity to find out whether that was true. The paperback has 59 unnumbered pages, each with a black and white illustration of a religious figure. The story is suspenseful but not unduly scary for young children, and without belaboring the point, it shows love in an extended family of parents, children, aunts, uncles and cousins, Raymond said. I would recommend it to all children, and as an older adult and a retired teacher, I enjoyed it too.

   Perfect Read Aloud
This book is so enjoyable to read, Kate. I can read it out loud to my little kids in about a half hour, and it's a huge favorite at my house.

   Fantastic Book
This book is one of my favorites for emergent readers who are in that hazy zone between picture books and chapter books. The story is so simple and wonderful, I couldn't help but smile. It's great to see the mom out stamping cookies as she worries. In fact, the writer of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" would have been a child herself. Simply wonderful and I am looking forward to sharing this with my boys as I did with my girls, Elizabeth.
