I will never look at a beautiful room the same way again!
Derived From Web , Sep 12, 2021
Many can see the rooms pictured in this book and recognize beauty when we see it, but how few of us can create this from scratch and bring this beauty into our own home? Marie explains how by teaching the use of nine elements in designing a beautiful room - a teaching that we can apply to our own homes. She even relies on the element of surprise, which is a divine spark that is found in the creative work of only a few. After reading this book, I have a much deeper appreciation for the hard work of interior designers in bringing an older home to new life. Thank you Marie for teaching us your expertise in a way that we can apply to each room in our home. Pecranley,

Disappointing!
Derived From Web , Jul 8, 2021
Sadly, this author fell into the trap of trying to write prose instead of sharing an intriguing dialog. Both visuals and narrative fall into the category of vanilla. Both the text and the visuals sadly fall with most books on interior design, very vanilla.

Inspiring
Derived From Web , Dec 19, 2020
This is one of the most exquisite coffee table books on interior design that I have purchased. Each interior space is different and appears to reflect the personality and needs of the residents, unlike some books on the subject. I keep this designer in mind for future projects.

Beautiful book!
Derived From Web , Oct 19, 2020
This is a beautiful book, showing interiors with wonderful details. The interiors shown are a cross between traditional and contemporary and most importantly neutral. Bringing the traditional into the twenty-first century.

Haven 't even come to the introduction, but already discontented with the quality of the book. Spine cracked and torn and pages pulled out.

Content and imagery are such a pleasure to read and enjoy. The styles in this book are classical and expertly executed - a touch traditional balanced with clean lines and edited accessories. I can not say enough positive things about Marie Flanigan and her talent. This book is a must read BUYMUST READ!
