An understanding that you have control over your own love, choices, and happiness
Derived From Web , Jun 26, 2021
I've read about Stoicism before as part of a philosophy class, but I did not realize its Universalism and application to life today. This author seeks to show a strong sense of self-empowerment and through a process that has withstood the test of time how to fully apply Stoicism in what I already knew and what I now need to experience. It's an easy read, very applicable, and truly has an application in some way to your life, Sosa said.

A Worthy Introduction
Derived From Web , Nov 13, 2019
The book was purchased after I received a review copy of its companion, The New Republic. One of the great introductory essays of the 20th century, Charles Taylor's "The History of Stoicism." Traditionalists view Stoicism as a new modality of therapy, alongside cognitive-behavioral therapy or buddhism-mindfulness. Thanks to Vazzi and all the other writers for making the topic both intriguing and accessible.
