What Is Easter All About?

One day the Bears started to think about Easter. Brother, Sister and Honey bear were wondering what Easter was all about. There were too many to choose, they all liked Jelly beans. Is Easter all about candy? When they got to Sunday School, they asked their teacher what Easter was all about. She suggested that they watch the church play the story. You will understand what Easter is when you read this book. There is a wonderful storyline to discuss Jesus and God and Easter. It will be a good time to talk about the miracle of Easter because teachers and parents will have many questions. The illustrations depict the story in a vivid and colorful way. Since 1962, the Berenstains have been writing about the bears. There are many wonderful stories for children. It is recommended. prisrob

This is a good book for children. The story of Easter and the other related characters, including Jesus, are all portrayed by bears, which surprised me. Jesus and the related characters to his story are usually human, no matter what the book is about.

A good way to explain crucifixion to a child. My son loved this book so much that we read it every night for 2 months. It explains it in a way that children can understand. Highly recommend. !

My child loves the bears. I have to change some of the words as I am reading this to make it more suitable for a 3 year old, but she loves it. She wants me to read it many times. The true meaning of Easter is not shy away from by the Berenstain Bears.

This was my kids' favorite Easter book. I got it out a week before to remind them of the true meaning of Easter, and they asked for it for the rest of the week. I was able to help teach the Bible story to toddlers with the help of the book with funvivid colors and the familiar characters. The stickers were nice.

Content is too heavy for young children. The details of Jesus death were too intense. The story wasn't great either. My 3 year old was left with many questions. The story of Jesus' death may be a better one for children who are already familiar with it.

The book is cute and we like the bears. The end of the book doesn't tie in the plan of salvation with the resurrection. It just means that on Easter morning after you get your Easter baskets and candy, you will go to church and learn more about Jesus. Easter is all about celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and how if we believe in Him with all our heart and repentance of our sins he will save us and bring us to heaven someday. Easter baskets, candy and gift-giving are just a small part of the celebration.

I was looking for a book that would explain the reason we celebrate Easter, and this was perfect. The betrayal, last supper, and crucifixion, which would be to have for my child's age, was not overly detailed. This is a good way to start.
