Great mesh of Berenstain Bears and classic Christmas poem!

This is a sweet little story where Papa reads to the Cubs the night before Christmas. The bulk of the book is this poem, but it does have a silly intro, where Mama and Papa decides that reading a book is better than watching a cute TV Christmas show. My children love it and we read it a number of times since Christmas.

I grew up reading the books of Berenstain Bears and now my children love them! I bought this to give them during our advent season that year. I wrapped a Christmas book for each day of Advent, some we already had and a few we had just in case. They opened one night after another.

About half of the story is simply the poem Night Before Christmas, which I already have. It seems to be lazy writing just seems like a nice idea. In general, I am less impressed with the books written by Stan and Jan, in contrast to the ones written by his parents, Mike Berenstain and Jan.
